One more visit to the hospital

We have come to expect that when we go for a clinical visit at the UW Hospital, there is a chance I will be admitted into the hospital to pull off some fluids. In mid-July, my 1 hour visit to the Cardiologist turned into a lengthy stay in the hospital (11 days and counting). Innately, all attempts to pull fluid off of me failed as I have started to develop a resistance to all the popular drugs that do this. Then they found the trick and I dropped 10 more pounds, to just below 180 pounds, a weight I have not seen since my very serious Marathon Running Days and a weight close to when I was in High school. The problem now is that I do not have the build of my High School days of football and wrestling. My arms look like the 130 pound Marathon Runners and well I best stop right there. Before I leave the hospital, there are some tests that the transplant team at Stanford Hospital are requesting.

The Cardiologist said that there has been a dry spell for transplants in May and June. There was a transplant last week. Due to my failing heart, I am in the back of the mind of the Cardiologists more and more. Each transplant needs to follow the rules established by the National Transplant Board.
