New Post Update from Rose

You should see the Tin Man! He looks great! He's walking the halls, running up the minutes on our cell phone bill and planning vacations! I will be happy with the simple life for a while and just spending time together enjoying the simple things that we haven't been able to do for a very long time. Rick already spoke with Bill Dobbins our manager telling him he will be anxious to get back to work. (-: He loves his work and the people he associates with.

They wanted to move Rick from I.C.U. but they didn't have room for him elsewhere. He sent me over to the other side to pick out a room with a view but I told him it didn't work that way. Just because everyone really likes Rick doesn't mean he gets special privileges. (-:

He will be posting something himself later but I thought I would add a few lines before he takes over his blog again. I'm glad to turn it back over because he is doing so well.

Thank you everyone for the continued support and prayers! Rose

  1. I would say I'm surprised at his progress... but I'm not!! :) He's SO amazing and positive and has lived a healthy, active life. He deserves this to be as easy a transition as possible. I'm SO happy for YOU and him... we think of you every day. LOVE YOU Aunt Rosaline!

  2. Woohoo! I can't wait to see Rick at a Hatchery Committee Meeting again! But before that happens he needs to focus on getting strong and healthy again! Work will certainly wait!

  3. It's so exciting to hear of your progress and how wonderful you are doing. We have all hoped and prayed this time would come and you seem to be exceeding everyone's expectations. Way to go Rick! Can't wait to see you back walking the halls at the PUD but it will all come soon enough. Enjoy the little things (as I'm sure you do) and take care of yourself. I can picture you grinning from ear to ear and it brings a smile to my face too. I'm so happy for you both!

  5. I just got back from a cruise to Alaska (5th-12th)and vacation in Seattle. I wanted you to know I was praying for you a lot on vacation. I didn't have a computer so I couldn't read your blog to know what was happening. I am ecstatic to read that you have your new heart and you are doing so well. Happy belated birthday too. I was thinking of you on your birthday as I was on the cruise and wondering how you were doing. From all that I read, you were well remembered. What a wonderful family you have. I will look forward to reading more from your blog.

    Rick & Rose,

I am thrilled with the progress! I'm sure that you are both aware of the many, many prayers and well wishes that have been offered in your behalf. The two of you are amazing and make a fantastic couple! Here's to many more years together! God bless you both! Get well soon Rick!! I have a little gift for you, that should make you smile...I'll send it to you soon.
